BM Bureau : The third batch of the Rajalakshmi Children Foundation’s Pratibha Poshak Initiative was launched on Saturday, at the Shri Siddharameshwara Education Trust campus in Shivabasavanagar, Belagavi.

Belagavi DDPI Leelavathi Hiremath, Chairman & MD of The Allied Founders Pvt Ltd, Ram Mallya, and Director-HR at Vayavya Labs Pvt Ltd Girija Shetty were present for the ceremony blessed by Dr Allam Prabhu Swamiji of Naganur Math.

Pratibha Poshak, a talent nurturing program led by the Rajalakshmi Children Foundation, founded by Dr Vijayalaxmi and Dr Shashikant Kulgod the program aims to identify and support talented students from underprivileged backgrounds especially in the rural areas. Through a rigorous selection process, these students are chosen and provided with comprehensive support over four years.

52 students from the Belagavi education district along with many other students from nine district of North Karnataka and neighbouring districts will benefit from the initiative.  Diamond Metal Screens Private Limited has sponsored 12 students, while Vayavya Labs and Allied Founders Pvt Ltd will sponsor 6 and 9 students respectively.

Giving more details Dr Shashikant Kulgod said selected students will receive guidance and mentorship in subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Analytical skills, helping them become self-learners. The ultimate goal is to empower these students to pursue higher education in STEM subjects.

Dr  Ravindra Guruvannavar a noted technocrat and co-founder of Pratibha Poshak and technical director at Rajalakshmi Children Foundation, shared that over 250 students from nine education districts, including Belagavi, Chikkodi, Bagalkot, Sirsi, Uttar Kannada, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, and Bijapur, will be enrolled this year.

Dr  Shashikant Y. Kulgod, Director of Rajalakshmi Children Foundation and co-founder of Pratibha Poshak, and Dr  Vijayalakshmi S. Kulgod, Co-founder of Rajalakshmi Children Foundation, expressed their gratitude to local industry leaders for their support in nurturing underprivileged talent.

Dr  Kirti Shivakumar,  Project Director at Rajalakshmi Children Foundation for “Pratibha Poshak,” thanked the entire Rajalakshmi Children Foundation team for their efforts in conducting 22 tests, evaluations, and interviews spread over last four months in launching the third batch.
