Belgaum Mirror, Oct 16 : An inmate who tried to commit suicide in Belgaum Hindalaga Jail died after the treatment failed.
Girish, a Bellary-based prisoner who was serving a life sentence in Belgaum Hindalaga Jail, committed suicide. The fellow inmates noticed the inmate Girish hanging himself in the cell and immediately called the jail authorities.

Girish was admitted to Belgaum district hospital by ambulance and was being treated. But today, the inmate Girish breathed his last as the treatment did not work. The exact reason for his suicide is not known, the incident took place in Belgaum rural police station.
