Former Karnataka Minister and MLC Prakash Hukkeri has appreciated the services rendered by the Doddannavar family towards the people of Belagavi and appreciated the health services rendered by Deccan Medical Centre for the patients coming from classes and masses. He was speaking after inaugurating the major hi tech operation theatre and other medical facilities at the Deccan Medical Centre here Friday morning.
MLC Hukkeri inaugurated the major operation theatre, which is well equipped with the ultra modern gadgets and equipments where all types of surgeries can be performed with precision, a minor operation theatre and an ultramodern endoscopy centre at the hospital.
“ I fondly remember late Komalanna Doddannavar and other stalwarts from Doddannavar family who have given contribution in the field of politics, social service and express my gratitude to Dr Ramesh and Dr Savitri Doddannavar for selflessly serving the patients of all categories in the with commitment. Now it is the time for the couple to go for a bigger hospital,” MLC Hukkeri said.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Ramesh Doddannavar appreciated MLC Hukkeri’s modesty and said that he has been serving the people of Belagavi region selflessly and tirelessly over last few decades for the development of the district and the region. He also appreciated the services rendered by the team of doctors and staff members in making the hospital popular among the people of Belagavi region.
Stating that Deccan Medical Centre is celebrating its Silver Jubilee Year this year Dr Savitri Doddannavar briefed about the services in the hospital. “ Dr Ramesh Doddannavar who has survived major accident during the early years of the hospital always thinks of the well being of the patients. The hospital that was started on a single floor has now become a multi floor and multi superspecialty hospital, “ she said.
Pushpadant Doddannavar, Vrushabh Doddannavar, Raj Doddannavar, Shloka Doddannavar, Sarfraj Jakati, Yusuf Mulla , Malashree Naik and team of doctors, nurses and noted personalites were present.
