Covid Lab at KLE JNMC Hospital;

BM NEWS: Covid-19 is a pandemic and it is spreading across the country. The diagnosis is important for the prevention of Covid-19. In view of this, the Department of Microbiology of J.N. Medical College, a constituent unit of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER).

Belagavi has got permission from National Accreditation Board for Laboratories(NABL) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research, Govt. of India, New Delhi for Covid-19 Testing Laboratory using Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) testing method since 29 th June, 2020. The Covid-19 testing lab is supervised by Dr. Manjula A. Vagarali, Prof. & HoD and Dr. Mahantesh B. Nagamoti, Professor who have been trained at NIMHANS, Bengaluru Covid-19 State Level Mentor Institute for Karnataka. Dr. Prabhakar B. Kore, Chancellor, KAHER and Chairman, KLE Society, Dr. Vivek A. Saoji, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, KAHER, Dr. V.A. Kothiwale, Registrar, KAHER and Dr. (Mrs.) N.S. Mahantshetti, Principal, J.N. Medical College have congratulated the Microbiology Department for starting Covid-19 testing Lab at J.N. Medical College, Belagavi.
