Procession to the Visarjan of the Sarvajanik Ganesh idols commenced today evening at 5 pm amid prayerful and serene atmosphere marked by tranquility. Belagavi North MLA Asif (Raju) Sait, Belagavi South MLA Abhay Patil, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, Police Commissioner Iada Martin Marbaniang, ZP CEO Rahul Shinde, Mayor Savita Kamble and others offered the first Sarvajanik Shri Ganesh idol at Hutatma Circle near Kirloskar Road
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the peaceful immersion procession. Meanwhile, the city took a deserted look in wake of the immersion procession and the weekly market closure day.
